Amendment A2:2003 to EN 55024:1998 is the same as Amendment A2:2002 to
CISPR 24:1997. It becomes a legal requirement for the CE Mark on
December 1, 2005. This amendment only affects the testing of
multifunction equipment, that falls under multiple product standards.
Amendment A1:2000 to EN 55022:1998 was first listed in the Official
Journal of the European Union (OJ) under the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC on
March 9, 2002 (C62, pages 2-15). So we have been able to use it since
then. It was supposed to supercede EN 55022:1998 on August 1, 2003.
But the date of withdrawal (DOCOPOCOSS) for EN 55022:1998 under the EMC
Directive was deferred to August 1, 2005, in the July 22, 2003 OJ (C172,
pages 2-15).
The July 22, 2003 OJ also listed Amendment A2:2003 to EN 55022:1998 for
the first time (C172, pages 2-15), to supercede A1:2000 on December 1,
2005.
According to the April 23, 2004 OJ (C98, pages 8-21), we must use:
* EN 55028:1998+A1:2000 after August 1, 2005.
* EN 55028:1998+A1:2000+A2:2003 after December 1, 2005.
