Subject: RE: New EMC Directive 2004/108/EC

Chris

I am replying to your enquiry about the implementation of the new EMC
Directive.

The new EMC Directive will come into force on 20 July 2007 and there is then a
transitional period of two years until 20 July 2009 before the new directive
becomes mandatory. During the transitional period equipment that complies
with Directive 89/336/EC may still be placed on the market and/or put into
service.

Regards
