I will ask advice from the DTi as to the interpretation and let you all
know their response.

Per my original msg I read it that on 20 July 2007 89/336 is revoked (so
no longer exists as a legal instrument). However there is a 2 year
transition for products already presumed compliant to 89/336 to continue
to be placed on the market under this directive. To me that would mean a
product range already in production either already built or being built
in the transition period.
