Dear All,
I am more confused with the replies which I receieved. What will
happen if VCCI or FCC is being notified that a product is being marketed in
their geography without a ferrite core in the cable but the same product is
being marketed in the Taiwan market with a ferrite core in the cable. Is there
any legal issues?

EMC testing, even for compliance verification, is not an exact science,
especially when one test shows result just under the limit and another
shows a result just over the limit. The sample tested 10 months ago in
USA is presumably not the same one as tested in Taiwan. But even if it
was, quite a small difference in the layout of the test set-up can make
quite a large difference to the results.
In this case, you are very lucky. You can simply provide a USB cable
with a ferrite, as Taiwan request.
