There was a similar thread to this last week (related to satellite earth
station equipment) on which I commented on both these standards.
Again with apologies to anybody who is on the IEC committee, but EN60215 is
not a particularly comprehensive standard. It was probably conceived
originally for larger base stations (e.g. MF) but is not ideal for smaller
installations such as most VHF base stations.
Paolo mentions R&TTE, which is quite correct. This means that the equipment
will be subject to harmonized ETSI standards, and you will very likely find
that they require EN60950 for safety purposes.
If you are dealing with a smaller base station, EN60950 will do very well.
There are a few points relating to RF hazards that are worth noting from
EN60215, but otherwise EN60950 is more than adequate.
