[email protected] asked >> Has anyone attempted to imbed an OATS ground screen in asphalt? A new parking lot is going in near our lab and I have a chance to install an OATS. The stack-up will be gravel with 3" base asphalt and a 1" asphalt ...<<
Keith, At one place I worked, we installed a galvanized hardware-cloth ground plane over asphalt, and covered it with a liquid acrylic. However, when the hardware cloth strips were soldered together the ground plane bowed and rippled, so that instead of requiring one application of acrylic, it needed five. This did not prevent us from meeting the site attenuation requirements. Cortland Richmond This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
