Hello group,

EN 302 208 is also applicable in the EU for devices in the 865-868 MHz
frequency range for powers up to 2W.

I believe it may be Harmonized now. If not listed in OJ, then would need
involvement of Notified Body.

Subject: RFID approval(s) required?

To all,

There's been some conversation here about RFID and its possibilities. If
RFID becomes a reality here, I will need to know if devices with RFID
capability are required to be certified/declared against FCC Part 15, EU
and/or other EMC standard, particularly such devices operating at 13.56MHz.
Are such devices required to be formally certified to these standards? I
suspect the answer might be yes, but if not, why not?

I look forward to your replies.

Best regards,

Ron Pickard
