Sandy: You should question a requirement of 200 V/M for human interface equipment! Why should the trackball withstand 200 V/M, when the operator should never be exposed to more than about 50 V/M? Or is this one of those very dark projects, like where you are supplying trackball flight controllers for our squadron of alien life-form pilots, whose body chemistry, being based on silicon rather than carbon, has lower conductivity and allows them to withstand much higher field strengths? Coincidently, I'm going to be exposing some "below-decks" Navy equipment to 50 V/M this week, and one of the racks includes a slide-out keyboard drawer that also has about a 5" diameter trackball. If we ever get the system operating correctly, I'll let you know if the trackball & keyboard withstood 50 V/M.
