>Is anyone aware of any forthcoming changes to the harmonics and flicker >standards, 61000-3-2 & -3? And if so do you have details of these? There are no further amendments to IEC 61000-3-3 in preparation. For IEC 61000-3-2, the situation is more complicated. FDIS stage: Amendment re tumble dryers; Approved CDV stage (FDIS awaited): Amendment re motor-drive appliances (mainly washing machines) Amendment re vacuum cleaners; Enquiry (CD) stage: Amendment re 'variability' - the (in)significance of the dependence of some test results on the ***EXACT*** test conditions Amendment re test conditions for non-portable ITE Amendment re test conditions for portable ITE; Still under preparation: Set of minor amendments (known as 'document A'), mostly editorial or technically-neutral (may reach CD stage by the end of 2005) Set of more controversial possible amendments (known as 'document B', unlikely to reach CD stage by the end of 2005). Please bear in mind that while advantageous amendments can be taken into account as soon as they are 'notified' in the Official Journal, they do not become mandatory for a further three years. Readers in UK who have a legitimate interest in any of the above documents (except FDIS and approved CDV) may contact me by private e-mail. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only.
