Have used the Tek P5200 and some Agilent stuff. Active diff probes have caused me much grief in accurately detecting zero-crossings and other resultant weirdness that manifests various forms of distortion.
For hi-V and some AC mains measurements, I prefer two good 100:1 probes with the scope floated and in A-B differential mode. With a decent DSO, you will get little distortion and excellent response. I also use this for WV measurements in switching power supplies. But, just for proper triggering and measuring of input mains for the 3-3 and 4-11 stuff, just float the scope and use a decent 100:1 probe. If you choose a voltage-divider network, use three CC resistors (a good standard value is 90.9k) rated for 300V peak. Never use wire-wound resistors for hi-v dividers.
