Dear all, 1. For GMRS/FRS, body-worn means the distance is less than 2.5cm to the person's body, excluding hands, wrists, feet, and ankles. (Source:TCB exclusion list). So for a FRS unit on wrist (watch size), does it belongs to body-worn category? 2. What are the differences and definitions of ear-held, face-held body worn GMRS/FRS unit? 3. The SAR requirement not only depends on the ERP of the unit, it also affect by the accessories such as holster, clip and microphone jet, etc. for different categories of body-worn, ear-held and face-held. What document contains a clearly guideline or definition for it? 4. Let's takes an example for a GMRS unit ( without clip or holster) of large volume output from the speaker and the mic sensitivity is very high, I can use it for talk and listen by holding it about 6 inches in front of my mouth, I also can use it by holding it close to my ear by adjusting down the speaker volume ( less than 2.5cm distance), so it is a face-held or ear held unit? Does it affect the decision for the requirement of SAR test? Thanks advance for any opinion. Daniel.
