Hy, 1.) For general suppliers declarations of conformity please reference the new ISO/IEC standards and CENELEC guide:
* ISO/IEC 17050-1:2004-10 Conformity assessment - Supplier's declaration of conformity - Part 1: General requirements * ISO/IEC 17050-2:2004-10 Conformity assessment - Supplier's declaration of conformity - Part 2: Supporting documentation * CENELEC Guide 16:2005 on the implementation of New Approach directives and the Low Voltage directive with respect to the EC declaration of conformity 2.) We recommend our clients to combine the EC declaration of conformity with other aspects (example "partly completed machinery": sub-part a) EC declaration of conformity for EMC, sub-part b) DECLARATION of incorporation of partly completed machinery). The important issue for the market surveillance authorities is that you declare the fulfillment with the protection requirements of the relevant EC directives. Other "quality" aspects are not CE relevant. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Yours sincerely Dipl.-Ing. We currently issue a DoC to meet the requirements of CE. We also have other requirements (Denan, GS sound level, etc.) where a declaration is needed. Is it reasonable, acceptable and wise to combine all our declarations onto one document? What do the rest of you do?
