The building wiring code for Japan is JESC E0005 (2000) published by the
Japan Electrotechnical Standards and Codes Committee. Regulations concerning
plugs are the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (ministerial
ordinance No 2).
Plugs are defined by Japanese Industrial Standards JIS C 8303 and JIS C
8282-1.
