Compliance Engineer

Responsible for the certification of telecommunications products for
compliance with Product Safety, EMC, NEBS and Environmental regulatory
standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the testing and certification of Terawave products with offsite test
labs. Perform pre-compliance tests using Terawave Compliance Lab. Generate
test reports, test procedures, and engineering change orders. Coordinate the
homologation of products for international distribution. Create and maintain
technical construction files for CE certification. Maintain up-to-date
knowledge and database of regulatory standards at Terawave. Assure products
meet the ROHS and WEE requirements for the EU. File FDA and IEC Eye Safety
documents for laser based products. 

Required Education and Experience:

B. S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or
equivalent. Understanding of IEC 60950 and UL, CS A, CE and CB regulatory
approvals and filing procedures. Experience in testing and debugging EMC
problems in ITE products. Experience with testing products to FCC Part 15, EN
55022,    EN 55024, ETSI 300-386, EN 61000-3, EN 61000-4, and GR 1089.

Desired Skills and Experience: 

Understanding of international  regulatory standards for telecommunications
products and experience with submitting telecom products with regulatory
agencies in the USA, Europe, and Asia.  Knowledge of FDA and IEC Eye Safety
Requirements, EN 50081, ETS 300-386-2, ETS 300-019, ETS 300-119 and GR 63.
