Kris,

I have increasingly seen 'Green' used in relation to products that
supposedly go beyond the 6 banned RoHS substances (e.g. removed Bromine
(Br) and Antimony (Sb) based flame retardants).

Regards,
Dave C.

Doug,

The expression "Green" is used when people talk about regulations and
standards for the protection of the environment. RoHS, WEEE, EuP are
European Directives within this "green" context and each have their
specific standards. Some other people talks about leadfree products and
green products, where the latter means RoHS compliant.

Best regards,

Subject: Maybe an odd question for EMC-PSTC

Anyone know what the actual standard(s) for which the next looming
restricted substances standard, "The Green", is?

I know enough about RoHS and it's associated WEEE. I also know about the
substances and to which levels RoHS versus Green is all about.

I've read various articles on and off the web concerning Green. Seen
many references to 14001 and OSHA and such in those article regarding
Green.

But to date, I've seen no specific standard cited regarding Green as
I've seen with articles regarding RoHS or WEEE.

Anyone know some standard that is Green specific?

Regards, Doug McKean
