Amund:

See 3.4.6 - Single-phase and d.c. equipment

You have to break each pole simultaneously, except that a single-pole
disconnect device can be used to disconnect the line conductor where it is
possible to rely on the identification of the earthed conductor in a dc
mains supply.

It is typically true for DC centralized power systems that the earthed
conductor is clearly identified, and you would only need a switch in the
unearthed pole.

Subject: Power switch / IEC60950-1

An IT equipment use supply power in the range 18-72VDC and shall comply
according to IEC60950-1.

Are there any requirements to the power switch, such that the switch shall
break both leads (+ and -) during operation?

Amund
