I second the motion. This forum is priceless and I am very grateful for it.

The EMC-PSTC list has developed into a fine resource for nearly a thousand
regulatory compliance professionals around the World. If you need information
on the Peruvian power system, Turkish telecoms or EU markings, you can get a
fast and authoritative answer here.

Although this is made possible by the unique community of people who have
associated with this list, we owe the continued existence of the list to one
man in particular, Richard Nute. (We should remember that Roger Volgstadt
started the list around 1995, but over the last 9 years, Rich has acted as the
listowner.) Some listowners are content to set up their community and then
ignore all following events. Those lists usually degenerate into noise, mayhem
and abandonment.

But in our list, exercising the prerogatives of the listowner, Rich has grown
and maintained a forum which can boast:

1. Wide diversity of membership.

2. Authoritative and informed viewpoints.

3. Very high signal-to-noise ratio.

4. No advertising and no spam.

5. A high level of courtesy, with no "flames".

6. No bloated posts.

These qualities are the direct result of Rich setting the tone and rules of
this list, on a daily basis, for all these years. Rich has recently retired
>from his position with Hewlett Packard in San Diego, and he has also stepped
down as listowner. Although he remains a member, and will continue to
contribute to the information flow, Rich will now begin to enjoy his
retirement (or should I say his "consultant") years. Rich is too modest to
tell you this, so allow me to speak for the list in recognizing all of Rich's
service to the regulatory compliance community.

Thank you Rich!
