See www.icnirp.de/ Conformity with these recommendations is regarded as an Essential Requirement of the Low Voltage Directive, but that isn't widely known. In order to show conformity, standard methods of measurement are necessary, and these do not yet exist for all products, but they do for mobile phones and household appliances. As a result, the formal non-conformity of other products, due to their not having been assessed for conformity, is being disregarded by the authorities at present. But a 'method of measurement' standard for at least one product family is being developed, because intentional creation of audio-frequency magnetic fields is involved. -- OOO - Own Opinions Only.
