Network infrastructure is a very interesting term - I would take that to mean anything that supports the network. Wouldn't that make the batteries that telecommunications systems use a power backup exempt, or a UPS, or the fuse and distribution panels ad nausium? Where does the RoHS legal definition of network infra-structure reside?
A counter-point is that I don't believe the US state laws have the same excemptions so aren't we damned if we do and damned if we don't? We are currently trying to determine if our products fall under exemption for "Lead in solders for servers, storage array systems, and network infrastructure equipment". Some may and some may not. Based on your presentation we would like all of them to. The DTI guidance provided some help. Are you or anyone else in the group aware of any other resources that would help with our determination?
