I am not all that familiar with the New Zealand requirements but I believe there is a Trans-Tasman Regulation System soon to be implemented designed to harmonise the requirements of medical devices in both Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, medical devices and IVD devices are regulated under the Therapeutic Goods Act (the legislation), administered by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). TGA URL is www.tga.gov.au You may wish to have a look at The Medical Industry Association of Australia (MIAA) sight as well - www.miaa.org.au made a "Submission to the Australian Government Regulation Task Force"

Hello Group Members, Does anyone have any information on how to register IVD products in Australia and New Zealand? I heard is that all you need is the CE IVD mark. Is that true? All feedback is appreciated.
