Thanks for your input.
Assuming we choose 60335-1 for electrical safety would you suggest that we
therefore raise a DofC for the product and refer only to the machinery and
EMC (the device also contains some active electronics) directives?
A DofI may be more appropriate as the product will be ultimately part of
another piece of equipment and is not listed in annex D of the DTI guide to
the MD.
Thus the D of C (D of I) would include:
Machinery Directive 98/37/EC
EMC Directive 89/336/EC
BS EN ISO 12100-1:2003 (title)
BS EN ISO 12100-2:2003 (title)
BS EN 60335-1:2002 (title)
BS EN 61326:1998 (title)
Including references to amendments of these standards where appropriate.
