CNCA of P. R. China has posted its 2006 Notice No. 18
(http://www.cnca.gov.cn/20040420/article/06-07/10476.htm) in regard to a new
revision of GB 3883.17, "Safety of handheld motor operated electric
tools--Part 2: Particular requirements for routers and immers". 
 
GB 3883.17-2005 (identical to IEC 60745-2-17: 2003) takes effect August 1,
2006.  GB 3883.17-1993 (identical to IEC 745-2-17-89) should be repealed.  A
certificate holder under 1993 version of standard has one year of grace period
to comply with the new version of standard, through follow-up inspection.
