I am not sure if I understand your question.
For BSMI lab accreditation, you can directly apply for, or through an MRA.
For directly applying for: An applicant submits an application to the BSMI,
with all required document. BSMI reviews your paperwork and arrange a lab
audit. If the audit results are satisfactory, your lab is accrdited. The
most time consuming work in this option will be the arrangement for
auditors' traveling. The auditors are government employees. It take some
time to have travel permission approved. Make sure you prepare for good
paperwork, including nice lab/site pictures. Another important thing:
Taiwan uses 110V, not 120V or 240V. Make sure you have 110V power source.
A variac works.
Laboratory accreditation through an MRA is the easiest and cheapest way to
go. The US has an MRA with Taiwan in this regard. All lab needed to do is
to fill in a piece of paper during their NVLAP or A2LA (may be some others
that I don't know) lab accreditation. That's it.
I am not sure if BSMI has an MRA with EU countries. This is not difficult
to find out.

opening an online discussion. We have started the process of getting BSMI
approval as a UK EMC lab.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has done this and could give me the
benefit of their knowledge and any advice on speeding the process. I am
aware of the costs, that isn't an issue particularly.
Most labs seem to be USA based and maybe it works via the NRTL scheme ?
Would very much appreciate and tips and things to avoid.
