Thanks! Yes, it's a switching power supply, so we just have to go ahead with testing and documentation. Regards Amund

I've duplicated it below. Regardless of whether your power supply is a class A or a class B device, Verification is the appropriate approval process. Use any lab, anywhere in the world, that you believe meets the requirements in Part 2 of the FCC Rules and once you have data showing compliance you label the product appropriately, put the appropriate information in the user documentation and ship and sell the product. No communication with the FCC is required. You may use either the FCC or CISPR 22 limits, but you must test using the methods in ANSI C63.4-2003. Ghery S. Pettit 15.101 Equipment authorization of unintentional radiators. (a) Except as otherwise exempted in ยง15.23, 15.103, and 15.113, unintentional radiators shall be authorized prior to the initiation of marketing, as follows: Type of device Equipment authorization required TV broadcast receiver Verification FM broadcast receiver Verification CB receiver Declaration of Conformity or Certification Superregenerative receiver Declaration of Conformity or Certification Scanning receiver Certification Radar detector Certification All other receivers subject to Declaration of Conformity or part 15 Certification TV interface device Declaration of Conformity or Certification Cable system terminal device Declaration of Conformity Stand-alone cable input selector Verification switch Class B personal computers and Declaration of Conformity or peripherals Certification1 CPU boards and internal power Declaration of Conformity or Supplies used with Class B Certification1 personal computers Class B personal computers Declaration of Conformity Assembled using authorized CPU boards or power supplies Class B external switching power Verification supplies Other Class B digital devices and Verification peripherals Class A digital devices, Verification peripherals and external switching power supplies All other devices Verification NOTE to table: Where the above table indicates more than one category of authorization for a device, the party responsible for compliance has the option to select the type of authorization. It's design for fixed installation and installed in an external enclosure (rack) with pupose to feed 27VDC to different kind of IT equipment. I recall such a discussion a couple of years ago, but I do not recall the final facts.
