Hello Group,

I have recently learned that Australia has legislation in place that
requires employers to test and tag electrical equipment twice per year. The
standard referenced is AS/NZS 3760:2003 titled "In-Service Safety Inspection
and Testing of Electrical Equipment". This standard, and I don't have a
complete copy, requires in part that Class I cord-connected equipment be
subjected to an insulation resistance test (1 meg Ohm minimum) and, if needed
to test the entire circuit, a current leakage test, with a maximum 5 mA limit.

Are any of you aware of any similar legislation any where else in the
world? I'm particularly interested in other countries, regions, etc. which
require the current leakage test for Class I appliances.
As always, thanks for any information you can offer.

Good day,
