Why not, when you make/print/carve(!) your dipoles on double-sided boards (you are, aren't you?) print a balun on those same boards? Very common scheme for PCS, WiFi etc and there are a lot of design details in the Antennas and Propagation Society pubs, and even wild on the Web.
