Hello Anders,

In the United States, the provider of telephone service needs to maintain
service to the structure. However, the telephone service provider is only
responsible for that connection. Wiring, telephones and communication
within the structure is the responsibility of the occupant.

For example, the local telephone company must make sure that a house has
telephone service during a power failure. However, if the home owner only
has line powered cordless telephone, they will not be able to make a call
unless they have back up power for those telephones. Similarly, a business
owner need not provide back up power for their PBX. The telephone company
only needs to provide the opportunity for uninterrupted calling.

If the Wi-Fi is used only within a single occupied space, it is the
responsibility of the owner to provide back up power. The owner would not
be required to back up the system. The back up power is required only if a
telephone service provider is using the Wi-Fi to provide telephone service
to multiple occupancies.

Dear Experts,

For a appliction with voice over Wi-Fi, are there any requirements that
emerency calling should be possible during power losses? I.e. battery back
up needed to make emergency call during power losses.

If there are a need for battery back up:
If there are severeal Access points at short distances do every Access
point need battery back up?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards
Anders
