A graduate student of our acquaintance (he worked here during the holidays as an undergraduate but has gone on to greater things) has asked if I know where he can get hold of an instrument for measuring magnetic permeability. He has identified this unit:
http://www.corvib-int.com/corstore/salesreview.cfm?id=260 but has not been able to find a UK source to borrow or hire one (the measurement is part of his masters degree project, so the budget won't stretch to purchasing a unit). This isn't a subject I know much about. If there's anyone in the UK can help him out, either with access to one of these or with other ideas of how to make the measurement on "liquid colloidal suspension in different levels of stability" then please could they drop me a line.
