My comments and inputs- 1. We should do both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands. 2. We should include the wideband data systems. 3. We should start with 802.11 but also include other 802 standards as data is collected. As long as we are in a location of information that has 802.11 and possibly other 802 information, we should include them. No need to retrace our steps when we expand the focus. 4. If there are no objections, let's start with, US, EU, China, and Japan. If others can assist whenever possible we can add other countries when the information is available. 5. Using an Excel spreadsheet as described by George Stults looks fine to start with. 6. For a way to distribute to the members for review, correction, and to post, we can ask one of the IEEE emc-pstc admin to place it on the IEEE web page. Regarding www.wikipedia.org, for postings, is true that anyone change the contents of items being placed onto Wiki? If so, would we have the same problem as "incorrect" information being posted without proper review? I would be more than happy to be the volunteer. To start with, I need members' assistance and support to determine the scope. The subject is "Worldwide Frequencies and Power Levels for 802.11". My questions are: 1. Should we focus on frequencies and power levels only? If yes, should we focus on the 2.4GHz band only? Or, should we include the 5.8GHz band? 2. Should we focus on the wideband data systems only (spread spectrum devices such as regulated under FCC 15.247)? 3. Should we focus on 802.11 only? Or, should we include any other technique using the same frequencies interested, such as 802.15.4 (zigbee)? 4. Which countries should be started with, US, EU, China, Japan, etc.? I feel confident to start with US, EU, and China. For all other countries, I will have to depend on members' input. 5. The title row of the Excel spreadsheet suggested by Peter works fine for me. I will need Peter's help to understand the "ISO country code" and how to find a code for each country. I suggest we add a column for information/document sources (such as government/document URL links if available). This would prevent incorrect information as Neil Barker mentioned. 6. We will have to determine a way to distribute to the members for review, correction, and post. George Stults mentioned one way to do it. Please feel free to have your comments on.
