The exact requirements will probably depend on the type of remote (IR, RF,
Bluetooth, etc.)

The Argentina CNC requires wireless approvals and regulatory label markings.
The Brazil Anatel agency requires wireless approvals, and has a unique barcode
labeling requirement.
The Chile SUBTEL agency requires wireless approvals and regulatory label
markings.
The Columbia MoC agency has wireless requirements, but this is not required
for some types of wireless products.
The Peru Conatel agency requires wireless approvals.

I'm not aware of any South American countries that accept the FCC approval as
a country approval; but Panama in Central America recognizes FCC approvals.

Subject: UHF Remote qualification for SouthAmerica

Greetings!

I have a question on FCC approved remotes acceptability in South America.

Can a FCC approved remote be shipped to South America with impunity or
are individual country approvals required? I am particularly interested in
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia & Peru.

Thanks!!

Best Regards
