Dear Group We understand that there is a Japanese requirement regarding Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use. In other words 61326-1. This is required under PAL (Pharmaceutical Affairs Law).
The Japanese standard is JIS C 1806-1:2001. The cover sheet is in Japanese and it references IEC 61326:1998. We are not aware of an English translation other than the cover page. It appears that the Japanese standard is identical to 61326-1. Is anyone aware as to whether there are national requirements, e.g. for Japanese supply voltages and frequencies? In addition, are there any special requirements regarding flicker. (Flicker limits can change for 100V operation).
