Hi All, if I have drive systems (IEC 61800-3), programmable controllers (IEC 61131-2), Electrical equipment of machines in general (IEC 60204-1) to export to the US for incorporation in a machine is FCC Part 18 applicable (mandatory) for EMC? If not, is part 15 applicable because every "progammable controlle" uses clock frequencies > 9 kHz. Does also a special import form (740 for Part 15) exist? Is a "DoC" required? The modules plug into a backplane for power and signal bussing. We normally use the verification route to FCC compliance and label the basic system accordingly. My question is about the FCC labelling of the modules purchased at a later stage. Am I allowed to use the FCC logo on the label we attach to the module? This label will be self adhesive printed paper. When reading the part 15 of the FCC regulations it stated that the label must not be confused with an FCC ident label.
