Hardware Verification Engineer Job Description

 

 

As a part of the Platform Integration and Verification (PInV) group, the
Hardware Verification Engineer will work within the Motorola Embedded
Communications Computing (ECC) organization and will be responsible for
hardware verification tasks required for ECC products. PInV engineers will be
required to perform tasks associated with old style functional test
organizations with state of the art verification techniques. The Hardware
Verification Engineers may be required to attend hardware design reviews and
should be capable of supporting EMC, Product Safety, NEBS and various other
related test efforts. The PInV group is comprised of technical, highly
motivated self starters capable of everything from the creation of
Verification Procedures to formal execution of each test case.  The ideal
candidate will have excellent analytical and documentation skills.  Other
responsibilities and duties will include:

 

Perform System Level, Module Level & Component Level Hardware Verification of
ECC Hardware Platforms 

Basic component level hardware knowledge is a must

Basic Form, Fit & Function related verification efforts

PICMG Compliance to ATCA, MicroTCA, AMC, etc. standards

Understanding that covers Electrical, Mechanical and Functional aspects of
ECC’s telecommunications products

Create test cases/procedures and maintain incidents database

 

Required/Desired Skills/Experience/Education: 

 

Education:         BSEE Electrical Engineering (or similar discipline)

Experience:       2+ years industry experience

                        Testing of Telecommunications products a Plus.
