Hi Ed:

Check out the Du Pont Kapton MSDS web site:

   http://www.dupont.com/kapton/msds.html

The MSDS refers to a bulletin on safe handling
and use. I did not take the time to track this
down.

Subject: Kapton Insulation

Again venturing way beyond where I should, I have been asked about the use of
Kapton (as a wire insulation on Ethernet cables) in human-occupied spaces. Has
anyone heard of any kind of prohibition of using Kapton materials due to
hazardous outgassing or degradation products? Are there any applicable
commercial or military standards related to this?

Thanks in advance!
