Hello Brian, Thanks for that - I have discovered from a fellow lister why it was and it seems that BSI misprinted this part of the standard which has since been amended by a corrigendum which I am about to purchase.
The 'Number and location of protective devices' clause was numbered 2.7.3 and the next clause was 2.7.5 'Protection by several devices' so I don't think that any text was missing it was just numbered incorrectly. The UL std states "NOTE In the member countries of CENELEC, the protective devices necessary to comply with the requirements of 5.3 must, with certain exceptions, be included as part of the equipment" after clause 2.7.1. I can't find any indication of what has happened to it. Also after clause 2.7.1 there is a statement detailing that 'This subclause has been declared void' Is this a clause numbering error which has been picked up for a future amendment?
