1. You need to make a far-field measurement For a broadcast antenna pattern, you might well be able to make that measurement in a SAC or FAC, but if the pattern is high gain, and the antenna aperture is large relative to wavelength, then the far field may put you outside of any reasonable indoor facility.
2. You need a turntable. You want a turntable with software control such that you can relate the spectrum analyzer /receiver signal to the turntable position – you are building a polar plot of the antenna pattern. 3. Yes. They’ve changed their name, but in the USA the big name in this line of work was Scientific Atlanta. They built multi-million dollar turnkey antenna sites back when that was serious money. 4. Type “antenna pattern measurement” into Google. You will get responses.
