Dear Daniel, A composite filing is an application which is subject to multiple types of equipment authorization. Or more simply said, equipment which has multiple sub-systems which need authorization by themselves, would require a composit filing (eg a mobile phone with BT function: both GSM (part 22/24)and BT (part 15C) would require authorization). With a composite filing you will get a grant per equipment authorization (eg for the mobile phone: a grant for PCE an one for DSS). Best regards, Willem Jan Jong

What is a composite device? What is the meaning of the requirement of two separate applications for a composite device? Thanks.
