Hi All,

I am a little late this month because of a heavy travel schedule, but I just
posted my latest Technical Tidbit titled:

Using Resonant Frequency Measurements to Extract Circuit Parameters
(Calculating the Capacitance of a BNC Barrel Adapter)

Abstract: Measuring the resonant frequency of a circuit can yield information
>from which circuit parameters can be determined. An example is given of using
the resonance of a small wire loop attached to a BNC barrel adapter to
calculate the capacitance of the adapter. This method can be applied to
connectors and other structures as well and is especially useful if a network
analyzer is not available.

The link to the article is the picture of two loops at the bottom of the page

Further up on the webpage, look for the palm trees, you can see the details of
a talk I am giving at the University of California at Santa Barbara in a few
months that is open to the public.
