Our company’s business (“40Gb/s Market Leader”) is growing and along with that our need to hire more excellent people. My group has a position opening for a “Super” Tech to support our compliance programs. Required - 5 years supporting regulatory or reliability testing - 3 years testing optical components and systems. - Familiarity with PC-controlled test environment and ability to execute software commands. - Must have good communications skills, ability to work well with others, and ability to work with limited supervision. - Must be able to provide documentation in Microsoft Word, Excel. - AA, AS, or equivalent Desired - Knowledge of optical test equipment. - Knowledge of optical test measurements, including eye diagram, BER, spectral width, chromatic dispersion, etc. - Knowledge of the function of various optical components, i.e. EDFA, laser, VOA, photodetector, etc. - Fiber splicing experience - Understanding of soldering and mechanical assembly with an emphasis on workmanship standards.
