Description This job opening is for a Wireless Regulatory Compliance Engineer. Key competencies for this position include expert knowledge of Wireless standards and regulations, intermediate knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Product Safety, and Environmental, being detail-oriented, analytical, accurate, assertive, creative, innovative and able to deal with ambiguity. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Provide Regulatory Engineering support for WLAN, WWAN, Bluetooth and other wireless products. Perform Design Review (as required). Review vendor compliance test results and reports. Review and approve all certificates/DoCs, regulatory labels, user documentation and ECOs. Develop verification test plans and perform testing . Troubleshoot, determine root cause and work with vendors to resolve non compliance issues. Qualifications Prefer BSEE or BS in Physics. Prefer a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience. Expert knowledge on wireless world wide standards and regulations. Intermediate understanding of National and International Regulatory Standards. Thorough ability in reading and understanding technical data sheets Thorough ability to read and understand circuit schematics and/or mechanical drawings Thorough ability in organizing and managing multiple projects, setting priorities and working independently under aggressive timelines. Ability to work under date-driven schedules. Long range strategic planning skills with the ability to articulate the vision (e.g., through Dell Business Strategy Process). Insight and skill to effectively manage cultural differences. Thorough verbal and written communication. Thorough presentation skills. Working team leadership skills. Thorough tactical execution skills Thorough problem solving and analysis skills. Thorough ability to move and inspire the team to innovate, incorporate, and produce winning designs, concepts, and details. Thorough negotiation and persuasion skills.
