Dear Members, Happy New Year. Please help me to determine the specifications/models for an ISN (per CISPR 22) to purchase. My questions are: 1. Is there a particular edition of the CISPR 22 that I have to refer to when looking for an ISN? My EN 55022: 2006 copy includes the Edition 5.2 of CISPR 22. I believe this is the latest version of the CISPR 22 standard. Three ISN manufacturers are found from the "EMCTLA Technical Guidance Note #42 Addendum 1" ( <http://www.emctla.co.uk/TechGuideNotes/TGN42.pdf> http://www.emctla.co.uk/TechGuideNotes/TGN42.pdf). One manufacturer claims its ISN complies with CISPR/A/307/CD. One manufacturer claims its ISN meets the requirements for LCL defined in CISPR 22, Ed. 5, 2005 ( <http://www.fischercc.com/PDFs/TILISN-T8-02-(RevC-0608DS).pdf> http://www.fischercc.com/PDFs/TILISN-T8-02-(RevC-0608DS).pdf). The other manufacturer claims its ISN meets the requirements of CISPR 22, Ed 5.2 ( <http://www.teseq.com/com/en/news_events/news/2007_07_01_isnt8.php> http://www.teseq.com/com/en/products_so utions/emc_radio_frequency/impedance_stabilisation_networks_isn/ISN_ST08_e.pdf ). 2. For a product with a shielded RJ45 port, if a manufacturer does not specify the type of cable (shielded vs unshielded) and does not provide a cable, should an ISN for shielded pair (for example http://www.teseq.com/com/en/products_so utions/emc_radio_frequency/impedance_stabilisation_networks_isn/ISN_ST08_e.pdf ) or unshielded pair (for example http: /www.teseq.com/com/en/products_solution /emc_radio_frequency/impedance_stabilisation_networks_isn/ISN_T8_e.pdf ) <http://www.teseq.com/com/en/news_events/news/2007_07_01_isnt8.php> be used? 3. From Item 2, if a manufacturer provides unshielded cable (or have an option for purchaseing cables), should an ISN fro shielded or unshielded pair be used? Thank you very much for your time and look forward to your help.
