IEEE EMC Society - Oregon & SW Washington Chapter - Meeting Announcement Our next meeting will be Wednesday April 16, 2008, with food at 6:30 PM and the presentation starting at 7.00 PM. Our presenter, Dr. Bill Strauss, will be discussing Risks posed to commercial aircraft from portable electronics: Some thoughts on data, risks and solving real world problems. Dr. Bill Strauss has been published in the IEEE EMC Society Proceedings, Science and Technology Magazine, Avionics Magazine, and Aviation Week and Space Technology. He has appeared as a guest on ABC’s 20/20, CNBC’s Street Signs, The Donny Deutsch Show, NPR’s Living on Earth, and the BBC’s Material World. He has presented to the International Test and Evaluation Association and the Society for Risk Analysis.
