Dear Members,
 
With the preselector turned ON in spectrum analyzer mode of the ESU receiver, 
the spectrum from 2MHz to 8MHz looks with much higher RBW (more dense and
higher noise floor).  I do note this is the same range as one of the filters
(See Page 4 of the data sheet at http:/
www2.rohde-schwarz.com/file_7880/ESU_dat_sw_en_v02.pdf).  I am informed that
ESIB receiver has the similar look.
 
Is the above spectrum normal?  I am informed that I should turn off the
preselector while in spectrum analyzer mode, which I agree with.  With the
preselector OFF in spectrum analyzer mode, the spectrum looks fine.  I would
like to learn if your receiver has the similar spectrum.
