IF is a very big word. 86 Mbar is not exceptional at high-altitude 
sites, and by comparison with some, Denver is on a mere foothill. Just 
looking at major cities, La Paz is at 11,811 feet, Quito is at 9358 ft, 
Lhasa at 11,975 feet, and Mexico City is at 7,349 feet
