Hi everyone,

Thank you for all your replies on the subject. There were a wide range of
insightful opinions from "never found it useful" through to "very important"
with most replies falling in the "could be useful to you depending on your
circumstances" range. So:

1) I'm probably going to test run an IEEE membership for a year or two and
judge the benefits for myself
2) I shall be further investigating the iNARTE EMC Engineer qualification as a
learning excercise especially into areas of EMC I haven't had much experience
with.

Many thanks
James

Subject: [PSES] Society Membership and Professional Qualifications - Worth it?

Hi folks,

I'm investigating the possibility of the following...

1) joining the IEEE for the EMC Society (either as an affiliate member or an
IEEE member)
2) working towards an iNARTE EMC qualification

I'd be interested of hearing people's experiences of either of these and how
it has helped them in their work

Thanks and happy Friday
James
