Have an ESA (charger) that will be either directly wired into vehicle 12Vdc bus or will be attached to the cig lighter receptacle.
The automotive EMC directive (2004/104/EC) disallows this type of device. The EMC directive (2004/108/EC) lists EN50498 which specifically scopes ESAs. The customer insists that the unit must have an 'e' mark - I say do the 'CE' mark. But I must also think of other markets, so which would be more applicable to North America, Brazil, and Aus/NZ - CISPR25 or EN50498?
