I have an opening for a Senior Compliance Engineer in the Cambridge, MA or Santa Barbara, CA area. The following is the job description: Title: Lead Compliance Engineer Location: Cambridge, MA or Santa Barbara, CA Position: Full Time General Summary: The Lead Compliance Engineer is responsible for making sure that all Sonos products meet all worldwide EMC and Safety standards as required. The right candidate will have experience performing EMI, ESD, Safety and intentional emission testing, personally and through third parties and a strong ability to troubleshoot EMI and ESD issues. Responsibilities: Ownership of all worldwide regulatory compliance certifications for all Sonos products. Set out strategies for optimizing compliance testing. Keep track of ongoing changes in worldwide EMI/EMC/ESD, RF emissions, safety and environmental compliance matters. Involvement in the design for compliance before any actual product is fabricated. Early testing of products and troubleshooting all EMI/EMC/ESD issues. Work independently to perform EMI scans and ESD testing. Work with third parties to coordinate EMI/EMC/ESD testing. Compile and archive all certification documentation. Qualifications 10+ years as lead compliance engineer in a small company environment. Willingness to travel within the US and internationally. Exceptional organizational skills. Expert ability to guide PCB layout to avoid EMI/ESD problems. Expert ability to perform EMI/ESD testing. Expert ability to debug EMI/ESD issues. Ability to set up and run systems for EMI testing. Experience with RF products. Experience with consumer products. Experience with Asian Contract Manufacturers.
