Hi Group,
EN/IEC 60945:2002 specifies measurement of emission from 1 GHz to 2 GHz using a test site with a ground plane as specified in CISPR 16-1. In 2008 a corrigendum to 60945 was released and CISPR 16-1 was substituted by CISPR 16-1-1, CISPR 16-1-2 and CISPR 16-1-4. EN60945 §9.3.2 Method of test Fifth paragraph: The test site shall be compliant with CISPR 16-1 (substituted by CISPR 16-1-4), using a metal ground plane and of dimensions to allow a measurement distance of 3 m. In CISPR 16-1-4 §8 it is specified that the test site shall rely on reflection-free condition, i.e. use of absorbers. The corrigendum has not been released as EN. Now my question is: Shall absorber be used above 1 GHz when testing according to EN60945.
