Was thinking same thing - but the marketing dweebs will want all of this with no price increase - while introducing yet another connector and p/s on the BoM. Unless the cost increase is incremental, who will want to pay for a cptr able to deliver 100A through the USB port having a power converter that meets ErP and CEC?
After additional thought, very good stuff for data acquisition/instrument control systems. 100W power and hi-speed comm through single cable - I want it now.
