I saw a couple of 'pro' comments;

Cliff is referencing the Lightsquared proposal, which raises questions

significant interference to GPS users. This is FCC Docket 11-109, and so far,
the FCC has over 1400 comments to this proposal (and I didn’t see even one
in favor of Lightsquared).

The face-off is essentially cell-phone space versus impairment of GPS
functionality; wow, two titanic sets of users are fighting for spectrum
priority.

Subject: GPS interference under consideration by FCC

For all of us that make GPS products for the US market, or are users of
the
GPS system in the US, there is something that may be of interest to you.

There is a technology under consideration by the FCC that seems to have
a
significant potential for interference to some GPS receivers.

I would urge anyone who has a stake to become aware of the detail and
offer
public comment at: http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/ecfs/ and search for proceeding
11-109. Comments close the end of July, so time is growing short.

        Best regards,

        Clif Brick
